About Hell to Pay

IT ALL WENT OFF WITHOUT A HITCH.

Okay, so there were hitches. Lots of hitches. But Jarek got his exosuit back, and Rachel managed to—

And that's when the strange ship shows up...

Meet The Author

Hi there! Thanks for swinging by my book store.

I'm Luke, and in addition to being a full-time sci-fi pen monkey and dad of two, I often temp as a melted puddle of goo on the living room floor.

When I'm not busy being crushed by the myriad pressures of life, I delight in all manner of reading, gaming, powerlifting, and even occasionally spending time with my family. (I know, right?)

I live in Rhode Island with my wife, Marina, and those two aforementioned feral wildmen we call children. But that's probably enough about us. If you're looking to be entertained, you should probably just go grab one of my books and tuck in. You won't regret it. (Probably.)

Great! But Seriously… How Does It Work?

Buy Direct. Fight the Power.

By cutting out the big retailer middlemen and buying directly from Luke on this store, you pay less and he makes more! It's like magic, except really it's just less hands grabbing at your money.

Read Literally Anywhere.

Still Prefer Amazon, Apple, Kobo, etc?

This book, along with the previous one in the series is cramming weeks worth of action into a few days. It's also the warm up to the upcoming super bad guys that they need to get prepared for.I am enjoying the interaction between the characters and the growing love story between Jarek and Rachel is well done and not out of place even with all of the crazy action going on.

The likelihood that the humans and the Raknoths will solve their war and be able to decide how the new group will enter the conflict has become an unknown. Hurry up and arrive August.

My rating is 3.5. I’m disappointed in the direction. There was so much excitement in book one. With the sporadic action and Jared and Rachel constantly in their heads, I lost interest in the story. I found myself rushing to the conclusion. The battles were so chaotic. Made it difficult to focus. I hope Reaping Day is much better. I really loved book one and wanted that euphoria to continue through the series. Hope the next book is better.
